Eating clean is very challenging especially in a place like Nigeria where everything is carb rich. Its either rice, eba, yam or beans. Our recipes are filled with cups of oils, meats, fat! FAT! FAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eating clean in an unsafe environment (remember: fried food is the antichrist) like this one is almost impossible. So, what can we do but become creative with food? Man shall not live by egg whites and chicken breast alone.
Besides, eating the same eggs, chicken and beans everyday gets really boring and before you know it, you're at Coldstone's counter ordering fat in a cup of fat. So because we love you so much (yes we do), we've experimented and found a bunch of healthy recipes for our FitFam.
Today, we're going to introduce the protein pancake (whoooop!! whooop!!!)!! Honestly, who doesn't like pancakes? If you don't.............sigh.....We're praying for you.
Banana Protein Pancake

Ingredients For One Serving
- 1/3 cup oats
- 2 egg whites
- 1 banana
- 1 scoop whey protein
- 1/2 cup skimmed milk/ almond milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- sweetner (stevia)
Directions
- blend all the ingredients in a blender.
- pour batter (depending on the size of pancakes you want) in a pan and cook for 1 min, flip and do the same with the rest of the batter.
Toppings
We used plain low fat yogurt for ours. Some people prefer syrup. Moderation is key.
Calories: 400 kcal
Protein: 40 g
Carbs: 31 g
Fat: 12 g
